Parents, you’re going to love us.

Alcohol-free housing. Zero hazing policy. Let’s face it, putting those two descriptors out there right off the bat tends to alleviate the majority of concerns parents have about allowing their son to join a fraternity. But the absence of negative influences is only a small part of the reason why parents love Phi Delta Theta. In Colorado Gamma, as Phi Delts we create a positive and encouraging environment that empowers each brother to tap into his inner greatness and reach a higher potential than he could on his own.

On the top of a parent’s expectation for their son is academic performance. Excellence in academics is our top priority too. In fact, our commitment to academics begins at the recruitment stage by talking to young men with GPAs high above the campus average. And once these intelligent men are in the chapter, we make sure they have an environment conducive to studying and learning. This is where the alcohol-free housing comes in big time. As well having weekly study hours in the Library members are able to develop consistent and efficient study habits. And to keep everyone on track, each our chapter scholarship chairman and our academic adviser oversee and maintain scholastic integrity. It doesn’t hurt to mention either that we as a chapter achieved the highest GPA out of any Greek chapter on campus. While it is important to have fun in college the main reason why we are all here is to graduate and that is what we work towards in our chapter.

Furthermore we instill in every brother the concept of accountability for every action. We are a values-based organization – chances are, the same type of values taught to your son at home – that emphasizes academic achievement, community service and an enriched and highly rewarding overall college experience filled with friendships that will last a lifetime.

Be Involved

We really encourage family to be involved in their son’s experience while in the process of joining our chapter but as well after when their son is an active member. Support is key in an enjoyable experience and one of the main places that comes from is the family. It not only helps for a smooth transition, but its always nice just knowing someone has your back in challenging moments. With that, family is more than welcome to come over to the chapter facility at anytime.¬†The chapter puts on a variety of events throughout the year to help parents stay involved in their son’s experience with Phi Delta Theta. These events include CSU’s Homecoming football game as well as both a Mother’s weekend and a Father’s weekend.

Please feel free to come by anytime and if you have any questions about our chapter and upcoming events don’t hesitate to get in contact with our Chapter President,¬†Charlie Hushek at
